It is at this time of year when the almond trees are in full bloom, adding pink and white colors to Alicante’s landscape.  The flowers are in bloom normally from mid January to early March and have a sweet scent.

This is a great time of year to take photos of the beautiful landscape! Almonds, native to the mediterranean climate and their use and cultivation date back to 3000 BC.

The world produces approximately 1,7 million tons of almonds annually, Spain being one of the largest producers worldwide.  The Valencian Community is one of the largest producers of almonds in all of Spain.
