Alicante Market and Tapas tour

This gastronomic tour will start at Alicante’s Central Market, which is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the heart of local culture and strolling through the market meeting friendly stall owners and tasting fresh local products is the best way to do it! The traditional markets are visited by neighborhood residents who still come every morning to pick up ingredients for that day’s lunch. We visit our friends who work here and taste their products, that range from cured ham to olives to seasonal fruit. After we will experience the city like a local by visiting a couple of Alicante’s great Tapa bars while you sample different drinks and tapas of which are interpreted by our experienced guide. What an incredible experience we had on the Alicante Food Tour, Monday 23rd October 2023. We got to see the markets, taste amazing meats, cheese, fruits and sweets. We were also taken to local tapas bars to eat some delicious and award winning tapas with drinks. Rebecca was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and we could have spent the whole day with her. I recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip as this will set you up to eat better and like the Spanish do.

Rebecca was a terrific guide, learned so much about Alicante food scene, Mercado is impressive and continued with boutique food shops and mid day tapas. Liked that better than evening tapas food tours, less crowded. Good value and again knowledgeable and convivial guide.

Wonderful intro to local food This is such a great tour to do especially on your first day in Alicante! You will be full after this tour as there is a lot of food included, it was a full meal and the best part is that you eat so many different things. The food is sooo good! There was a lot of local products and dishes that I would have never thought to try. I loved visiting the Central market with our guide as she pointed so many different local foods and we met a lot of the stall owners. Then you go to 2 different Tapa bars which were great. Overall a 10/10. Loved it!
