Los mejores planes de la Costa Blanca para este invierno

Rediscover the Costa Blanca this winter: the best plans

At Ali-Oli Tours we invite you to get to know the Costa Blanca from a different perspective with the best plans for winter since the Costa Blanca is a well known paradise for summer, however during winter this paradiscal place offers many attractions that can be enjoyed outdoors as temperatures are moderate throughout the year.

Visiting the Costa Blanca in Winter is attractive for foreign tourists such as those who come from the UK, Netherlands, Germany and France among others, due to the average temperatures of 18°C/7°C in cooler months.

The best plans for this winter

Although taking a dip in the sea is not a priority in winter, during this time there are many things to do in the Costa Blanca.  You just have to be a little more creative.  So what are the best plans?  Here we will tell you.

Hike and see spectacular viewpoints in Jávea.

Winter allows us to get to know the Costa Blanca in a more relaxed way as there are way fewer tourists around. Therefore it could be the perfect occasion to do this route.

There are 15 different viewpoints from which you can see the cliffs and beaches that during the summer months would be completely full of people. The viewpoints are fantastic and are easily accessible with explanatory signs about the history, fauna and vegetation of the place.

El Peñón de Ifach in Calpe.

Going to the Peñón de Ifach in Calpe is a classic among locals and nacional and international tourists, no matter what time of year you go.  However the ascent to the top of the mountain is usually even more enjoyable when it is cooler outside.

The route can be divided into two stages.  One of which has an easy trail including an interpretation center and different viewpoints that go until you reach the tunnel.

The other stage of the route is steeper and much more vertical.  Here you will reach the end of the route at 332 meters high.

Sail along the shores of Altea

Altea has one of the most emblematic domes in the Mediterranean and the streets of the historic downtown are very charming making you fall in love with the place. Altea is a place one must visit when in the Costa Blanca.  The boardwalk deserves to be seen at sunset making it a heavenly corner.

However during winter we recommend that you see Altea from the sea.  You can rent a boat and navigate by the coast of Altea.  Some of the boat rental services offer dinner and drinks aboard.

Visit inland towns

Visit the interior of Alicante to enjoy a classic winter.

Although towns near the Costa Blanca can be visited at any time of the year, doing so during the winter is an enjoyable plan.  Castles, mountainous landscapes, and historical centers look even more spectacular during the low season.

Guadalest, Teulada and Polop de la Marina are some of the places that we recommend visiting during your stay in winter.

Guadalest is a definite favorite.  It is a town that is located between the mountains, sheltered by the Xorta, Aitana and Serella mountain ranges.  You can visit artisan craft shops and many interesting museums.

If you want to know more about visiting Guadalest in winter time, at Ali-Oli Tours we have some of the best tours to Guadalest.

A Christmas plan in Alcoy

Alcoy, a city located one hour from Alicante, is known for it’s festivals. In winter, the spectacular Cabalgata de Reyes Mayos, is a celebration that no one should miss.

Alcoy has medieval constructions, modern architecture and a beautiful Plaza de España worth seeing.

Winter in Alcoy

Visiting the Serra Gelada is without a doubt one of the best plans.

This natural park, well known within the Costa Blanca, has two trails easily done by foot.  The first path is at a moderate difficulty and is very scenic great for photography.

The trails start at the parking that is at the end of Camí Vell del Far in El Albir and expands for two and half kilometers.  Here you will see ocher mines and coves ending at the lighthouse with views of the sea and coastline.

The second trail is a little more difficult.  The total trail is 6,5 kilometers and goes from the lighthouse to the Cross in Benidorm in Rincón de Loix.

Visiting the Serra Gelada is without a doubt one of the best plans
